Bryant Staffing is partnering with a reputable hospital in the Summit, NJ area to place an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Specialist. This is a full time, temporary assignment, expected to run through April 2015. The EMR Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to enter patient chart information into the electronic medical records system Athena.

- Experience Required: 2-3 years
- $13/hour
Primary Function of Job:
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Enter patient chart information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system in an efficient and organized process that complies with HIPAA
- Extract large amounts of data from medical files in order to reenter information into a new EMR system.
Job requirements include:
- Candidates must have understanding and working knowledge of HIPAA
- Previous experience with EMR Systems is strongly preferred
- Candidates must be knowledgeable of medical terminology
- 2-3 years’ data entry experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred
- Applicants must have verifiable references
- Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills are required
- Candidates must be proficient in data entry, scanning, faxing, and other basic computer functions
- Applicants must be highly self-motivated and be able to work independently to meet deadlines
- High School Diploma
